When I left the house this morning, I was wincing at how shabby the yard looks. Only thing not totally dormant are the weeds and they seem to be holding a reunion of all their kind. But with the forcasted high at 103 today, I think I'll just have to close my eyes and pretend a bit longer.
I'm going to stop tonight at Sherwin-Williams and pick up some paint samples. I'm dying to paint the kitchen because it's also looking so shabby and I don't think I can stand it any more. I'm leaning to the Tuscan style yellows and reds for it but have those colors gotten too cliche? I'd go with a nice cool green but I feel like I use that color for everything. Maybe a French cottage blue theme?
