Cantalopes do take a lot of room, but the only time in my life that I got to eat as much cantalope as I wanted was the year that we grew them. They were also the best tasting ones I ever ate. There is nothing like picking one and bringing it in warm from the garden, cutting it open and eating it straight from the shell with a spoon. YUMMY
What are you going to do with all the tomatoes?
I am so glad to hear that you are getting a weather break from the heat. It certainly does zap you, but before you know it things will start cooling down. At least I hope it works out that way.
I sure feel sorry for the returning teachers and students as the first month of school is so hot.
I have no news. I am going to see Swing Vote with Kay and Lois today and to the water store and that is the "big" news from this neck of the woods.
