You're looking for a USB to serial cable. If you tell any sales rep at an electronics store that, they can help you out.

If you go to the amazon link and click the picture, it will give you a larger picture. You can look at the serial end (that's the end with the metal prongs) and that should look like it matches the cable you have now that goes to your sewing machine. So you'll wind up a cable chain like:
